First Year Engineering Department

The Department of First Year Engineering comprise of qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty members for courses in Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry and Professional Communication and Ethics

The curriculum keeps abreast of the latest advancements in the respective domains and endeavours to develop engineers of high calibre. Currently the Faculty strength is 16 assisted by 4 Staff members.

Engineering Mathematics

Mathematics is a tool in the hands of an engineer. A clear understanding of the concepts and methods of higher mathematics is very essential for engineering students. The syllabus of Engineering Mathematics in four semesters will enable students to strengthen their fundamentals to apply them in their respective programs.

Engineering Physics

Science is the heart of the technological development in which Physics plays a major role. Physics is introduced in laboratories and lectures as one of the important basic core subjects to understand industrial applications. The study of physics is made more comfortable and enjoyable throughout the year by adopting modern teaching aids and methodologies.

The lab is equipped with very quality equipment and experiments are conducted in such a way that it enhances the knowledge of students related to theory topics.

Engineering Chemistry

The Department has been engaged in opening interesting world of Chemistry to students. The areas of expertise and research of Faculty members include Organic, Inorganic, Analytical and Physical Chemistry. Active participation of faculty in various training programs enable students to keep pace with developments in chemical sciences, which help in providing continual updates and hence to produce engineers who excel in industry and research.

Every year visit of F.E students to various industries aid in enriching their practical knowledge and also provide an exposure to industrial Environment. Science week is observed by organising various competitions like Model making, Quiz, Poster sessions etc.

Professional Communication and Ethics
